There will be struggles, disappointments, challenges, regrets, losses, and without a shadow of a doubt, pain. Take a moment and reflect on the past year. How many challenges did we overcome or learn to manage?
The pandemic, learning to survive, paying the mortgage, the rent, buying food, homeschooling, the lockdown, losing a loved one, the loss of a dog, a cat, sickness, affairs, terminating relationships, divorce, and much more.
· We can do more than we give ourselves credit.
· We are knowledgeable and have the power to make sound decisions once we believe and accept our strengths.
· We can think for ourselves by having moments of silence to pay attention to our thoughts and choose where to focus.
Sometimes, it is difficult to get out of bed, to move, or smile, let alone train the mind to focus on the positive or the good in our lives. Yet, we can take baby steps and accomplish one goal at a time by:
· Not compromising or negotiating with self-care.
· Not being discouraged no matter the disappointments.
· Having a dream and the determination to never give up.
· Knowing we can change being overwhelmed by changing the scenery. Go to a favorite spot, coffee shop, walk, go for a run, etc., and enjoy fun memories.
· Recognizing the moment for what it is.
· Stop blocking the joys in life, which brings daily happiness.
Life is beautiful even though we have problems, challenges, letdowns, failures, and accepting all is a part of life. We evolve from the experiences and grow, allowing us the opportunity to share and help others through their struggles.
Let’s give ourselves consent to receive all the good from life experiences because life is not easy and know NOTHING lasts FOREVER!
Everyone handles difficult times differently, and not judging others moves us from a negative tone to an understanding attitude.
Knowing what we want releases the desire to survive. Become focused and determined to accept all of life and all that comes with it. Realize we will stumble and yet can catch our balance. We will have regrets yet believe it is in the past and behind us. We do not have to live with the struggles forever once we begin with baby steps.
