Prepping the Mind

We prepare for events, parties, get-togethers, holidays etc. We shop, organize, train the body and work hard leading up to the event. Recently, my husband and I contemplated on what costume to wear on Halloween. We collaborated, shopped around and after searching a few stores, nothing really excited us. We then visited online sites and made a decision on the costume with all the necessary accessories. How often do we spend time, thought and energy on preparing the mind? What quality of life will we have?

I propose for us to spend the same amount of time prepping the mind to get to the next stage in life.
In the last post, we (1) committed to drinking the necessary water for the body, (2) we experimented with what works for a healthy breakfast, and (3) became more active.

We will add to the baby steps by:

  • Focusing on getting beyond the challenges we will be faced with because there will be some as when we prepared for the particular event.
  • Sitting for a few moments daily to develop the mental thoughts as we did to choose the right outfit.
  • Staying conscious and in the moment as we did when prepping for the event and not losing sight of the outcome.
  • Eating good food for the brain (fruits and vegetables to start). Let’s work out to get the blood flowing to the brain to stay positive.

How will you rise? I am here and listening!

  1. My mental thoughts plays a major role in my decision making, its basically the preparation motives. For example , preparing myself for work, when I was younger there was lack of preparations,I just got up and went , without thinking about the job duties or co-workers. Now that role has changed drastically.

    1. Yes, we grow in different directions and it appears your mind has mentally grown. Job duties are important and having a daily plan contributes to a successful day. As far as co-workers, be a positive influencer and hopefully they grow from the positive energy you leave behind.
