Don’t Want To Read The Post, Try Listening To The Audio Version!
I am a confident and self-assured woman, yet there are times when people are quick to notice and point out my dialect (the Southern Drawl) to make me feel different and question if I belong.
Each of us has different circumstances that cause us to feel not good enough.
The feeling could have derived from childhood belief’s, such as:
- Being compared to other siblings.
- Being told, you are not smart enough.
- Being told you do not meet the standards.
- Being associated with name-calling.
- Being blamed or judged.
- Being told how to act and being discipline for being you.
I conducted a survey, and several people felt not good enough because they were not in a specific weight range and were body shamed. People judged them for eating certain foods, wearing particular outfits, and made them feel uncomfortable at the gym by staring.
Others expressed not being appreciated for the hard work, yet judged for any mistakes made, whether at work or home made them feel not good enough.
We are faced with difficult situations and challenges daily. We take actions by making decisions, good or bad (we decide to get out of bed, walk the dog, look for employment, file for unemployment, call a friend or a family member, etc.). Each decision made reflects the consequences.
I write my blog to share stories and bring attention to the brightness and strength stored within.
We all have positive qualities, and I want us to focus on the positive we have to give and NOT the negative that will ALWAYS appear in life.
TODAY:
- Let’s decide to be good enough and know we belong.
- STOP focuses on our faults and criticizes our own bodies because of the famous people we follow on Instagram.
- Spend as much time with ourselves as we do on Facebook and Instagram.
- Look in the mirror, love, accept, and KNOW how beautiful we are.
- Let’s accept every inch of our body and know no one, absolutely, no one has a perfect body (not even Jennifer Lopez).
- Create the same beautiful vision of ourselves that we create of others.
- Let’s have good positive mental conversations with ourselves and watch self-esteem grow.
This Week:
START THE DAY BY CREATING AND PICTURING THE DAY YOU WILL HAVE NO MATTER WHAT APPEARS IN FRONT OF YOU.
WALK AWAY FROM NEGATIVE EMOTIONS, CONVERSATIONS.
LET’S NOT JUDGE OTHERS BECAUSE WE THEN JUDGE OURSELVES.
The book of the month, How Full Is Your Bucket? By Tom Rath
As Always, we are stronger together. How will you rise? I am here and listening.

I enjoyed.
Why do you say Jennifer Lopez does not have a perfect body? It’s perfect to me.
Thanks for your comment!
You commented that you believe Jennifer Lopez’s body to be perfect. Do not get me wrong; she has a great body; however, work has been done, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Not feeling good enough comes from us viewing someone else as perfect as your vision of Jennifer Lopez. Let’s HAVE A PERFECT VISION OF OURSELVES, to continue working towards accomplishing our goals, and feeling good enough because we are

“very attentive to and concerned about accuracy and detail.”
